What does the term "absolute auction" mean?
If there is an item here, it will be sold to the highest bidder. Any body considering selling here should know this. The only exception is the occasional approved item (ie: trailer, tractor or titled item)
Can anybody sell at So-Lina?
YES! We welcome all consignors. Our commission rates are 20% on single items bringing less than $100.00 and 15% on single items bring $100.00 or more. PLEASE NOTE: All outside consignors are responsible for making sure there are no abondoned items from their consignment left on So-Lina premises.
When can I bring items to sell?
OUTSIDE consignments are accepted Friday from 8:00 am till 4:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am till noon. INSIDE consignments are accepted Thursday & Friday from 8:00 am till 4:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am till noon. You can also bring consignments on Monday morning from 7:00 till 11:00 am.
What time does the auction start?
Our auctions start at 10:00 a.m. on the outside and at 2:00 pm inside. Yes! Even though the outside auction is still going, the inside starts at 2:00. Effective immediately - the INSIDE FURNITURE WILL NOT START BEFORE 6:00 P.M.
Do I have to register to buy?
NO! There is a cashier with each auctioneer and you are welcome, even encouraged to pay cash immediately after each purchase. If you are the high bidder, just holler "cash". Be sure to have your cash ready when the cashier finds you!
Who can buy at So-Lina?
Anyone can buy at So-Lina! You don't even have to register in the office. If you wish to use a valid tax number, that MUST BE REGISTERED IN OUR OFFICE. ALL PURCHASES ARE TAXABLE UNLESS YOU HAVE REGISTERED YOUR TAX NUMBER IN OUR OFFICE.
What other payment options do I have?
You can get a TEMPORARY number with either a cash deposit or credit card information. Obtain this number BEFORE your purchase and realize it is good only for the auction on that date. If you would like to get your check approved, please submit a letter from your financial institution on their letterhead. It should state that your account is at least one year old with no history of NSF items. We DO NOT want to know your balance!
Do you offer appraisals?
No, we don't offer appraisal services.
Do you offer furniture refinishing?
No. There is a furniture refinishing supply store on site, offering most everything needed for refinishing except the service itself! Several of our customers are refinishers and there is a bulletin board that occasionally has business cards posted on it. If you don't see one, we'll be glad to introduce you to a refinisher.
